Speech Processing and Data Analysis Laboratory (SPADAL)

SPADAL was established  by Dr. Shonda Bernadin in fall 2013.  Our vision is to be a nationally-recognized lab for providing a cadre of unique and innovative solutions for speech and data analysis processing systems.

Our MISSION is two-fold:

(1)To conduct interdisciplinary research in speech signal processing, speech production and speech perception that contributes to the advancement of knowledge and discovery of innovative solutions in speech and data sciences;

(2)To promote diversity in engineering and the STEM workforce through academic support, outreach efforts and broadening participation research activities (STEM Education Research)
